BrickLab'26

Common Questions

Got questions?
We've got answers.

What ages is BrickLab for?

+

Kids ages 5–8. Our curriculum is designed specifically for this age range — challenging enough to grow real skills, gentle enough to feel safe and fun.

How many kids per session?

+

We cap each week at 15 kids, with two adults on site at all times. Small enough that every builder gets attention, big enough to fuel great team missions.

What's included in tuition?

+

Tuition is $400 per child per week and includes all instruction, all LEGO materials, daily snack, and a healthy lunch. The only things parents need to send are a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat.

Can my child take their builds home?

+

By default, all bricks stay at camp so we have a deep, shared library to build with — and every kid takes home daily photos plus their original sketches. You can also add the optional take-home upgrade at registration so your child keeps the bricks from one creation each day.

Do you offer early drop-off or late pick-up?

+

Yes! Camp officially runs 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. We offer early drop-off as early as 8:00 AM and late pick-up until 4:00 PM for an extra $35 per hour. Just check the box on the registration form.

What about food allergies and dietary needs?

+

We're a nut-free facility and serve healthy snacks: fruit, vegetables, protein options, and water daily. We can accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, and most common dietary needs — just let us know on the registration form. Kids are always welcome to bring their own snack and lunch.

What does a typical day look like?

+

9:00 AM drop-off, then a flow of theme reveal, sketching, building, movement breaks, snack, a guided build challenge, playground time, lunch, themed team mission, share-out, and a quick build journal before pickup at 2:00 PM. Kids reset with outdoor movement every 45–60 minutes. See the Schedule page for the full breakdown.

Are there daily themes?

+

Yes! Every day has its own theme — Space Day, Ocean Engineering, Dino Day, Superhero City, and more. The morning sketch, prototype, and team mission all ladder into the day's theme, which makes camp feel like a fresh adventure each day.

What do parents get to see?

+

We send a daily photo recap, celebrate a Builder of the Day, send home take-home challenge cards, host a Friday Showcase Hour for parents, and give every camper a printed portfolio booklet of their sketches and build photos at the end of the week.

What if it rains?

+

Encinitas summers are very mild, but if weather is an issue we'll communicate by email and either move under the picnic shelter or reschedule the day.

Refunds and cancellations?

+

Full refund up to 30 days before your session. Within 30 days, we'll do our best to fill your spot from the waitlist and refund accordingly.

Are payments handled on this site?

+

We're finalizing online payment for Summer 2026 — for now, please submit the registration form and David will reach out to confirm your spot and payment options.
